Are there any minimum order quantities for jewelry transactions?

It’s important to note that the minimum order quantities can differ significantly depending on the type of jewelry, its value, and the supplier’s business model. For example, suppliers of high-end luxury jewelry may have higher minimum order quantities compared to suppliers of costume jewelry.

What are the typical payment terms for jewelry B2B transactions?

Net 60 or Net 90: In some cases, the payment terms may be extended to 60 or 90 days, giving the buyer a longer period to make the payment.

Cash in advance: Some suppliers may require payment upfront before the goods are shipped or delivered. This provides a guarantee of payment for the seller but may require the buyer to have sufficient cash flow.

Down payment and balance on delivery: In larger or custom orders, it is common for the buyer to make a down payment (e.g., 30% of the total order value) upfront, and the remaining balance is paid upon delivery or completion of the order.

Consignment: In consignment arrangements, the seller provides the inventory to the buyer, but the payment is made only when the goods are sold. The seller retains ownership until the sale is made.

Trade credit: In some cases, the buyer and seller may establish a line of credit, allowing the buyer to purchase goods on credit with agreed-upon terms and conditions.

So how a Return Policy page of a jewelry e-retailer should be:

What should It contain:

2) Non-refundable:

State what is not refundable, e.g., engraved jewelry, custom design jewelry, re-sized jewelry, etc.

3) Condition of the returned jewelry:

Emphasize what will not be accepted as a return, e.g. damaged, scratched jewelry, jewelry returned without original documentation and packaging,
